Now in its third year, The Art of Dying exhibition brings together South Australian artists exploring themes of mortality, impermanence, and the beauty of life’s final chapter. Each work offers a deeply personal reflection on death and dying — inviting viewers into conversation, contemplation, and connection.
This year’s exhibition culminates in the SA Death Festival on October 19 — a day-long community gathering dedicated to opening dialogue around end-of-life, grief, and love.
With artworks for sale, proceeds support both the artists and Pure Land Home Hospice, helping us continue to provide free, compassionate end-of-life support across South Australia. Each artist has generously donated at least 50% of their proceeds, making every purchase an act of both creativity and compassion.
Presented in partnership with Centennial Park and Hentley Farm Wines, The Art of Dying offers a rare opportunity to reflect on life’s fragility and meaning through art.
As a registered charity, all donations to Pure Land Home Hospice are fully tax-deductible.
If you would like to attend the special Art of Dying Opening before the exhibition officially begins, please reach out to India for an invitation for you and a guest.
Thank you for supporting this exhibition and helping us bring dignity, compassion, and community to the end of life.
For enquiries, please contact India Wallace at india.wallace@purelandhomehospice.org or 0400 401 028. Once payment is received, we will arrange delivery or pick-up of your artwork — and you may even have the opportunity to meet the artist if you would like to.
